Beware of Laser Hair Removal devices claiming to permanently remove hair…..

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

FDA U.S. Food and Drug Administration – Medical Device Databases under the 510(k) database.  Several manufactures  received FDA permission to claim, “permanent REDUCTION”, NOT “permanent removal” with their lasers.  This means that although laser treatments with these devices will permanently REDUCE the total number of body hairs, they will NOT result in a permanent removal of all hair.   Source:  http://www.fda.gov/Radiation-Emitting/ResourcesforYouRadiationEmittingProducts.ucm252761.htm

How does Electrolysis Work?

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

A trained electrologist inserts a fine, solid, pre-sterilized needle(wire, or probe) into the hair follicle and applies a small amount of electrical current to permanently destroy the hair growth cells that lie mostly at the base of the follicle.  Electrologists have a choice of three different methods of electrolysis to choose from.  Galvanic (direct current),Thermolysis(high frequency), and the blend method of hair removal combines both of the electrical currents.

Overview of Clareblend Advanced Skin Care Solutions Conference

Monday, May 23rd, 2011

Advanced Sin Care Solution- Symposium/Workshop/”hands on” – Electrolysis, Microcurrent, Light Therapy, Vascular, and Teeth Whitening.

This was the very best education in the 20 years that I have been an Electrologist.  Clareblend did an amazing job of educating

all whom attended.  Because of the education and the companies products, I will be upgrading to the Digital technology with a

new “Essence” epilator.  I will also be expanding my business to include the Photo-rejuvenation LED Light Therapy System.  This

system benefits the skin in many, many ways.  Any questions, please e-mail aarkadv@comcast.net or call: 651-636-4049.  (Check

back on my web site for upcoming pictures of the Essence Epilator and the LED Light Therapy System.)

Sterilization – Methods used in Electrolysis

Sunday, May 8th, 2011
